With our long and storied history, it’s only natural that our products would grace the interiors of a few influential people. Get inspired by some of society’s luminaries with these stunning homes featuring STARK.
1. Beyoncé & Jay Z
Celebrate summer days by revisiting (or maybe even renting) the 2012 vacation home of America’s favorite power couple. In addition to housing an Olympic-sized tennis court, a sprawling pool area, and a number of other amenities (including a two-lane bowling alley, skateboard half-pipe, and rock-climbing wall) the lavish mansion also served as the setting for a music video. Spotted inside: our ‘Linkit’ design, as seen on this handsome stair runner.
2. Michael Kors
Minimalistic luxury rules the master bedroom in world-renowned fashion designer and icon Michael Kors’ Greenwich Village penthouse, designed by Glenn Gissler. Seen here, a custom area rug from STARK, bound in black canvas.
3. Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift’s New York City apartment brings rustic Southern vibes into the hustle and bustle of the city by combining wooden floors and motifs with an expansive living room – equipped with several seating areas, perfect for hosting parties. The chairs seen in this photo are upholstered in our Missoni fabric Vevey.
4. Hayden Panettiere
Next, we head south to explore actress Hayden Panettiere’s home in Nashville. Decorated by Benjamin Vandiver, it presents a mix of Southern charm and contemporary styles to create a comfortably authentic – but child-friendly – home for Panettiere, her husband (former world heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko) and their baby daughter.

5. Giuliana & Bill Rancic
Television personalities Giuliana & Bill Rancic were happy to relocate to Chicago when a beautiful 1880s brownstone in the Gold Coast neighborhood hit the market. The refreshing blues of the dining room are anchored by STARK Rug #109223A and the living room also features a similar rug, from our Traditional Rug Collection.
6. Rob Lowe
Over on the West Coast in California, actor Rob Lowe’s carefully-designed home was inspired by the grandeur of Virginian architecture. Lowe’s wife, Sheryl, is a collector and lover of beautiful objects, evident in the pleasing artwork chosen to decorate their living room. A sisal rug from STARK anchors the design.
7. Donny Deutsch
Donny Deutsch, advertising executive and television personality, makes his home in an alabaster Manhattan mansion, with interior design by Tony Ingrao and Randy Kemper. The bright white living room is centered with a custom-made sofa, a zebra chair, and cowhide rugs from STARK further the visually impressive theme. A princess pink STARK carpet also adds softness underfoot in his daughter’s room.
8. Aileen Mehle
Aileen Mehle, the society columnist also known as Suzy, boasts a home as glamorous as her occupation. A former ballroom redesigned by her friend and favorite decorator, Mario Buatta, is now the main living area. It practically vibrates with thoughtful elegance in everything from the French chandelier to the satin curtains, as well as the apricot silk by Grey Watkins for STARK adorning the walls and a traditional rug by STARK beautifying the floor.
9. Mary Tyler Moore
Explore the comfortable, sunny abode occupied by Mary Tyler Moore and her husband in upstate New York, designed by Timothy Macdonald. Traditional style is combined with antiques, including a 19th-century portrait of one of the actress's ancestors, to create the authentic atmosphere of their home. One-of-a-kind area rugs from STARK were spotted in three locations throughout – the living room, library, and master bedroom.
10. Robert Redford
Get a glimpse inside Robert Redford’s Manhattan penthouse, which reflects the grandiose breadth of the American West just as much as it does the worldly finesse of New York. Spotted in the living room is the Sultanabad rug from our Darius Collection of Antiques.
